My husband and I had just moved into a newly constructed house last year, and did not yet feel like it was home. We recognized we needed design help and reached out to Melissa. We felt comfortable with Melissa from our first conversation. She offers a somewhat unusual combination of both highly organized project management and an impressive and creative eye for design. Having never worked with a decorator, Melissa was able to quickly orient us to the process, and help us prioritize projects and design needs.
Being busy working parents of three small children, we did not have time to focus on design for our home – so Melissa ultimately took care of everything. From the moment she first showed us her mood boards, we trusted her to make our home beautiful. She created a space for us that is both visually pleasing and functional for our family, all within the budget we had provided. Once we gave her the go ahead, she selected and ordered beautiful furniture, window treatments, etc. – and had a way of providing just the right level of customized communication to us throughout the entire process. On the day of furniture delivery, Melissa and her friendly handyman arrived with so many tasteful and room completing accessories and stayed well into the evening to ensure our rooms were just so. It felt like she was just as excited as we were to see the rooms come together.
We recently had a family party at our house, and many guests commented on the décor, a further testament to Melissa’s talent. Now that our first decorating phase is complete, we couldn’t be happier and will plan to work with Melissa next year for a second phase in additional rooms.
Melissa feels like a friend to us, and we truly enjoyed working with her to decorate our home. New clients would be fortunate to benefit from Melissa’s professionalism, organization skills and amazing talent for interior design!

I worked with Melissa to update all of the rooms in my new house. This involved paint colors and flooring suggestions as well as drapes, lighting, furniture and finishings. She is very easy to work with, has great suggestions and takes feedback well. I kept adding rooms /projects because it was going so smoothly. Melissa is very clear with project phases and costs so I was able to budget appropriately. She has professionals that she works with or she is happy to work with your favorite contractors /painters /flooring folks, etc. . I used a mix of her and my own people seemlessly. Melissa manages all aspects of the project and is very hands on, responsive and accessible. In fact, my new neighbors thought she was the homeowner because she was at the house so frequently!
